Here is a sketch of one of my students from my last day of class before the Christmas break. I was projecting as I painted this is the angle I had of him as he watched me paint. Was a pretty cool setup actually. I don't often paint live subjects. Did I mention I was on Christmas break? Oh yeah!

I don't know if anyone checks this with any regularity or not but I've begun a new job teaching Digital Art Design. Its going great so far and I love passing on what I know to high school students. It's a lot of work but very rewarding!

Just wanted to get back on here and post a couple of sketch paints that I'm using this week for my seniors to learn how to paint hair. . .

They had their choice of either the male or the female head, its been interesting to see which they chose and what sort of hair they are painting. Maybe I'll post some of them with their permission.

This is a very hastily colored sketch from today. . . I know, not very original but I wanted to do a character archetype and the warrior/ranger type is one of my favorites. Yes, I'll say it - I'd still play D&D if anyone still played it!

and now for something completely different, a dino type creature sketchy paint. Or painty sketch, not sure. I've been studying a lot of concept art type stuff, most notably Greg Broadmore and the Creaturebox guys. . . this is what happened.

So, I wasn't really paying attention to the Charlie Sheen thing on purpose. But, last night while flipping channels I ran across the interview on 20/20, I couldn't stop watching it. . . It was a total train wreck. Absolutely insane.
