Black Key

Here is a sketch of 50% of the Black Keys, Dan Auerbach. Yes, sans beard. . . not many pics like that.
Man! I was doing so good about posting and then bam, nothing for 4 weeks. . ..
I'll try to get one of Patrick Carney up soon.

crazy

So, I wasn't really paying attention to the Charlie Sheen thing on purpose. But, last night while flipping channels I ran across the interview on 20/20, I couldn't stop watching it. . . It was a total train wreck. Absolutely insane.
here's a sketch from tonight. I didn't catch half of the crazy. . .

Baddies - head studies

More concepty sketchy stuff. Bad guys are so much fun to draw. . . I kind of got in a vampire vein there didn't I? Get it?!
Ok, just a page out of my extremely ancient sketch book. . .

looooooong time. .. .

Ok, sorry. Its been a while.
Here is a caricature sketch of the 17th U.S. president, Andrew Johnson. In my opinion one of the meanest looking of the bunch. I love drawing these old guys.
Happy Halloween!!

John Tyler

a caricature sketch of the 10th U.S. President. Proving the long illustrious heritage of the business up front, party in the back hair style. Yes, even a POTUS has rocked the Mullet.
A little trivia: John Tyler was the first U.S. vice president to arrive at the top position from the death of a president.

Van Der what's it

I'm not making any statement with this sketch. He was just the first face on CNN.com this morning which is where I usually get my first sketch subjects. . . But, he's a creepy and sad and menacing looking guy so I decided to draw him. Having said that and after reading about his confession to killing the girl in Peru I'm convinced that he is definitely guilty in the Natalie Holloway disappearance. . .
sketches from a little while back
First is a sketch of Joe Kwon who plays with the Avett Bros on albums and tours. He's awesome to watch live!

and here's a little creature sketch that I decided wasn't worth finishing. But, I'm posting it to show Pete that I don't just do caricatures and portraits . . .
