Parchment phase?

Oh, I almost forgot!

So, I walked into the kitchen this morning and as I turned on the light I met this fellow -
I think I scared him more than he scared me, I had just woken up. I think he may have been taking a bath in the kitchen sink. This is him about to punch me, he did punch me. I closed my eyes and when I opened them he was gone. . . strange.

King Rufus

I'm not sure if he's a real king or not but he has an interesting face. Plus, he sat for me to draw him - so I'm not complaining. But, these guys never want to smile!

I don't think that either of these guys were ogres but they were ugly enough to draw. . .

Ogres!!

Ran into these guys the other day. Strangely they were more than content to let me attempt portrait sketches, I know - weird. Did I mention that they were Ogres? I hope that I meet more, they were fun to draw. Oh yeah, intros - Ok, the big guy is Bertram (that's actually his happy face), turtle neck is Phillipus (all the hip ogres are wearing cable knit turtleneck sweaters this season), and the wired one is Lorenz (he had the most trouble sitting still).

I'm mostly happy with this one but not especially with the mountain. I guess I need to spend a little more time on it. But, for now I'm calling it done. . .
